This project focuses on portrayal of fat and chubby people due to the stigma that comes with that size.
‘Riots, not diets’ is a statement highlighting the diet culture and how harmful it is. There are so many more important issues in the world than a hanging belly, thick arms or a double chin. Everybody has so much more to them than their looks. The mind, the ambitions, the dreams; looks are the least important and interesting thing - or in an ideal world they would be.
Your body, no matter what it looks like, deserves respect. It helps you get through life and heals, changes with you. It shouldn’t be hated for what it looks like when it’s so much more.
Body neutrality movement teaches to love your body, no matter if it’s pretty or ugly. Some people are ugly and that is okay - they still have worth and deserve to be loved and be beautiful from within.
